1.Introduction to Open Channel Flow Meter Products
Open Channel Flow Meter is a device used to measure the flow rate and volume of liquids in open channels such as rivers, streams and irrigation pipes.Open Channel Flow Meter is mainly composed of a radar flowmeter and a radar water level meter.The flowmeter is used to collect the flow rate of the fluid surface, and the average flow rate of the overwater section is calculated through the model.Then, the overcurrent section area is calculated based on the water level measured by the water level meter and the cross-section information.Therefore, the flow rate is obtained using the formula flow = average flow rate × overcurrent section area × correction coefficient, and the correction coefficient is calculated based on the standard value obtained by the actual measurement environment.

3.Selection of Open Channel Flow Meter measurement channel section
The selection of the measurement channel section is directly related to the accuracy of the measurement flow.In order to obtain better measurement results, the measurement channel section should try to meet the following conditions:
1.There are no huge stones in the test channel to block the water, no huge vortexes, turbulences, etc.
2.The test channel section should be straight, stable, and concentrated.
3.The test channel section needs to be hardened and the measurement section should be regular.
4.The test channel section should be kept smooth to prevent floating objects from accumulating.
4.Precautions for installing Open Channel Flow Meter
1.When installing a flow meter, the water level meter and flow meter radar cannot be blocked, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy.
2.When installing the flowmeter, try to ensure the level of the upper surface of the shell and be installed in the middle of the channel.
3.The flow velocity meter beam is recommended to face the incoming water, as shown in Figure 3-3, and the horizontal angle to the water flow direction is 0 degrees.
4.The flowmeter is only affected by dynamic targets.When the channel is hardened, there are no weeds or trees, even if the beams are illuminated on both sides of the channel, it will not affect the flow measurement.
