It employs the forward-scattering detection principle to capture scattering data from suspended atmospheric particles, calculate the total extinction coefficient, and output precise real-time visibility readings. Capable of all-weather, automatic identification and classification of conditions—including fog, rain, snow, mixed precipitation, and clear skies—it is widely used in sectors such as road traffic, meteorological observation, and environmental monitoring.
Constructed from high-quality aluminum alloy and treated with both anodizing and spray-painting processes, the sensor offers superior water, dust, and impact resistance, ensuring long-term reliability in harsh outdoor conditions. Its downward-tilted lens design effectively minimizes interference from sunlight and other stray light, ensuring data accuracy at the hardware level; it achieves a weather identification accuracy rate exceeding 95% and a measurement range of 0 to 10 km, meeting the needs of diverse monitoring scenarios.
Equipped with universal RS485 and RS232 digital interfaces and compatible with the standard MODBUS protocol, the sensor integrates directly with various monitoring systems without requiring additional protocol adaptation. It supports visibility data output at 15-second, 1-minute, and 10-minute intervals, allowing for quick data retrieval without complex configuration. The device operates stably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C and humidity levels of 0% to 100% RH.
