In high-risk industries such as chemical plants, production safety is not only crucial for business operations but also directly related to personnel safety and environmental protection. These locations often contain flammable and explosive gases or dust, where conventional weather monitoring equipment could potentially become ignition sources and trigger serious accidents. Therefore, explosion-proof weather stations have emerged as key technical equipment to ensure safe production.
Firstly, they adopt strict explosion-proof designs with waterproof, dustproof, corrosion-resistant, and shockproof features. The outer casing is made of corrosion-resistant ASA material or stainless steel, enabling adaptation to the environmental conditions of chemical plants. Secondly, the weather station integrates high-precision sensors that can real-time monitor meteorological parameters such as wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. Among these, ultrasonic anemometers have no mechanical moving parts, effectively avoiding dust clogging and icing effects while providing more reliable monitoring data. The system supports flexible data transmission methods, including RS485/Modbus protocol for connection with central control room PLC and DCS systems, as well as 4G network for cloud platform data transmission, meeting communication needs in different scenarios.
Through real-time data monitoring and intelligent analysis, it provides scientific basis for preventing and responding to weather-related risks. When wind speed exceeds set thresholds or specific wind directions are detected, the system can issue early warnings to prompt adjustments in production operations or initiate emergency procedures. Combined with visualization platforms, management personnel can intuitively grasp changes in meteorological conditions. Using analytical tools such as wind speed and direction rose diagrams and temperature-humidity variation curves, potential risk patterns can be identified and production scheduling optimized. The system supports linkage with gas monitoring, video surveillance, personnel positioning, and other systems to construct a comprehensive safety protection network. In case of leakage accidents, real-time meteorological data is used to simulate toxic gas diffusion paths, providing decision support for emergency evacuation.
