The Portable IV Curve Tester FT-IV2 is an instrument specifically designed for outdoor photovoltaic testing, capable of quickly measuring the current-voltage (I-V) characteristic curves of photovoltaic modules or strings.
The tester features a maximum voltage measurement range of 1500V and a current measurement range of 30A, covering photovoltaic module testing from 50W to 30kW. Both voltage and current measurement accuracies reach ±0.5%, with automatic range switching functionality to maintain precise measurements across different specification components.
The device supports volt-ampere characteristic testing in outdoor low-light environments. It incorporates a comprehensive built-in database of solar cell module correction models, covering products from most major manufacturers. Equipped with high-precision irradiance meters and temperature sensors, it measures on-site environmental parameters and converts real-time test data into results under standard test conditions, reducing environmental interference in performance evaluation.
Internally, the instrument adopts a high-voltage isolated power supply design, providing overvoltage, overcurrent, and temperature protection to ensure user safety during operation. The device contains a large-capacity replaceable lithium-ion battery that enables approximately 8 hours of continuous operation. Combined with touch screen and keyboard operation methods, as well as one-click data export functionality, the device can be used simply and efficiently even in field environments.
Testing of a single module or string can be completed in approximately 10 seconds, measuring and plotting both I-V and P-V curves while acquiring parameters such as short-circuit current, open-circuit voltage, and maximum power point. Test data and curves can be stored in the main unit memory or external USB drive, facilitating subsequent analysis and report generation.
