A Portable Weather Station is a device that can be carried around and automatically complete meteorological data collection, mainly used for meteorological monitoring in field, emergency and other scenarios. It integrates the core functions of traditional weather stations in a compact structure, and realizes real-time measurement of multiple meteorological elements through sensors and data processing systems.
The hardware composition of such devices includes multiple key parts: an ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor is usually installed on the top, which calculates the airflow speed and direction through the time difference of sound waves; the temperature and humidity sensor uses thermistor components, which can quickly respond to changes in air temperature and humidity; the pressure sensor is mostly silicon piezoresistive, which can accurately measure atmospheric pressure to assist in judging weather trends. The device integrates a data acquisition module and a storage unit inside, is powered by a lithium battery or solar panel, supports communication methods such as 4G and Bluetooth, and can transmit data to terminal devices. The bracket is mostly made of aluminum alloy or carbon fiber, which is easy to disassemble and assemble. The whole machine generally weighs 3-5 kilograms, making it suitable for single-person carrying.
In the agricultural field, it can monitor the microclimate of farmland and provide data support for irrigation and fertilization; during geological exploration, it can real-time monitor wind speed, precipitation, etc. in mountainous areas to assist in judging the risk of geological disasters; in outdoor sports, mountaineering and scientific research teams use it to obtain real-time weather information and plan routes; in emergency disaster relief scenarios, the device can be quickly deployed in disaster areas to provide meteorological data support for rescue operations. It is also often used in environmental monitoring, traffic meteorological services and other fields, such as temporary erection along highways to monitor weather conditions such as fog and icing.
With the characteristics of "mobile, intelligent and accurate", the Portable Weather Station has become an important link connecting human activities and the meteorological environment. It does not require a fixed site, can quickly respond to monitoring needs in different scenarios, so that meteorological data is no longer limited by space, and provides a reliable environmental basis for decision-making in all walks of life.
The rain and water conditions refer to the changes in hydrological elements such as rainfall, river and reservoir water levels, and flow rates within a region. They serve as important bases for flood control and disaster reduction as well as water resource management. Measuring the rain and water co...
Traditional weather stations mostly use mechanical devices such as wind speed and direction indicators to measure meteorological elements. These devices have some limitations. For example, mechanical components are prone to wear and icing, requiring regular maintenance and calibration. Moreover, the...
Anemometer for drones, the ultrasonic anemometer is a high - precision meteorological monitoring device designed based on the principle of ultrasonic resonance. It is specifically developed for the low - altitude environmental monitoring needs of small drones and unmanned platforms. Its core technol...
Negative oxygen ion monitoring plays a crucial role in ecological environment research and air quality management. Negative oxygen ions are negatively charged ions in the air, which are widely distributed in the natural environment. Their concentration levels are closely related to air quality. High...
