Methane, as the main component of natural gas, is widely used in industrial production and urban gas supply. However, its colorless, odorless, flammable and explosive properties make methane leakage a major safety hazard. The handheld Laser methane telemeter is mainly used for long-distance measurement of methane gas concentration to timely detect "hidden danger points".
The handheld Laser methane telemeter works based on Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology. The instrument emits an infrared laser beam of a specific wavelength to the detection point, and this wavelength is within the absorption line range of methane (CH₄) molecules. If there is methane gas in the path, the methane molecules will absorb part of the laser energy, reducing the intensity of the optical signal received by the receiver. By measuring the change in the intensity of the optical signal and according to the Lambert-Beer law, the concentration of the gas mass between the detection point and the telemeter can be accurately calculated. The telemeter emits a visible green laser to the detection point, which is convenient for the operator to aim. Its static detection limit reaches 50ppm·m, which can accurately detect trace leaks, and is less affected by other gases and environmental factors. The concentration value is displayed in real-time through the LCD screen, providing an intuitive basis for judgment.
The multiple features of this instrument provide strong support for finding hidden danger points. With a detection distance of up to 100 meters, workers can scan and detect overhead pipelines, the ground above buried pipelines, etc., from a safe distance. By using the green indicator laser to aim at the parts prone to leakage, the response time of 0.1 seconds can instantly detect leakage signals, which not only improves the inspection efficiency but also ensures the safety of personnel. The detection range of the handheld Laser methane telemeter covers (0~100000) ppm·m, which can cope with leakage scenarios of different concentrations. Moreover, the response time of ≤0.1 seconds ensures that the alarm status can be indicated by sound when a leak occurs, striving for valuable time for handling hidden dangers. The instrument has a size of 240×122.5×80mm and a weight of about 0.6kg, which is compact and lightweight, suitable for operation in complex terrain or narrow spaces. It has a working voltage of DC11.1V (lithium battery capacity 2800mAh), and a single charge can meet the all-day demand. It can also operate stably under the conditions of temperature -20~60℃ and humidity <90% RH (no condensation), ensuring that hidden danger points in various environments are not missed.

Handheld weather stations provide convenience for people to obtain meteorological data anytime and anywhere. Among them, mechanical handheld weather stations and ultrasonic handheld weather stations are two common types. What are the differences between them? How should consumers choose?Differences...
High-altitude migratory pests refer to a category of pests that rely on their own flight capabilities or high-altitude air currents to carry out long-distance and large-scale migrations during their growth and development. For example, the fall armyworm and the East Asian locust can fly at altitudes...
To meet the needs of air pollution prevention and control, environmental protection authorities require more refined and efficient air quality supervision. However, traditional national standard monitoring stations, despite providing high data accuracy, face limitations such as high construction cos...
With the intensification of climate change impacts, the frequency and destructiveness of flood disasters have significantly increased, posing severe challenges to public safety and socioeconomic development. Now that summer, a season prone to floods and droughts, has arrived, to enhance disaster pre...
