Laser methane telemeter, leveraging laser technology, is used to detect the concentration of methane gas in the environment and has been widely applied in natural gas stations, the petroleum and petrochemical industry, the metallurgical industry, the power industry and other places.
According to different usage scenarios, there are many types of laser methane detectors, such as fixed - type, handheld, pan - tilt scanning type, vehicle - mounted, mini - type and multi - in - one laser methane detectors.
So, how can the Laser methane telemeter meet the human eye safety standards?
There are two configurations for this product: one is equipped only with a detection laser with a wavelength of 1500 nanometers, which is used to react with methane to detect its concentration. The other, due to the long - distance use, not only has a detection laser of 1550 nanometers but also a red indication laser of 630 or 650 nanometers to clarify the accuracy of the detection direction and position.
In terms of laser safety protection, the following key points need to be noted:
First, the detection laser of 1550nm must be lower than class one level. The indication laser is a visible laser and may come into contact with users, and its level should not exceed class3R. This is a clear requirement for laser levels.
Second, the laser label needs to calibrate the wavelengths of both the action laser and the indication laser, the laser energy of the action laser, the pulse width, the repetition frequency, as well as the corresponding power of the indication laser. Finally, the implementation standards should be indicated, such as GB7247.1 in China or IEC60825 abroad. The language should be consistent with the standards and the country or region.
Third, the instruction manual contains three key sections. First is the marking label. The laser label on the product should have an identical copy in the instruction manual, and at the same time, the specific position of the label on the product should be explained. All relevant parameters need to clearly state the laser parameters and specifications in the form of a list or item - by - item. Second, the warning content for laser use is essential. It is necessary to explain the potential laser radiation hazards in unreasonable and unscientific usage scenarios, such as not looking directly at the laser to avoid radiation damage to the human eye. All relevant warnings and necessary personnel protection reminders need to be presented in the instruction manual.
